The California Energy Commission is re-naming the Home Energy Rating System to avoid the confusion between HERS Raters and HERS Auditors. This program has been moved out of Title 24 Part 6 to further separate the two.What is Title 24? That is the California Building Code. HERS Raters will now be called ECC Raters or ECC Technicians, ECC stands for Energy Code Compliance.
